It is now Day 3 of Twenty Days Until Christmas. No you did not miss Day 2, because it did not get posted. It was very ambitious of me to attempt to do so, but due to my health issues I was unable to post it. So I will prepare the rest of the series off-line and hopefully will be able to publish them on the correct day.
Today’s song is one of my many favorite Christmas carols. Many inspirational works often have an even more inspirational back story and so it is with today’s song. I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, is based on the poem “Christmas Bells” written during the American Civil War by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The story is powerfully told by Ed Herrman together with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I hope you enjoy it!
Here is another a beautiful rendition of, I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day, by Sarah McLachlan
